Bloomington has several clinic-based ABA providers. But for many families here, a clinic isn’t the best fit. Maybe you’re juggling class schedules at IU, or your child’s school is across town from the nearest clinic, or you’re in one of the more rural parts of Monroe County where a 30-minute drive each way just isn’t realistic.
Our Natural Environment approach removes all of that. Therapy happens where your child already spends their day: at home, at school, or out in the community. The skills they build actually stick because they’re practicing them in real life, not a therapy room they visit twice a week. And because we work alongside parents and caregivers during real routines, you walk away with strategies you can use every day of the week, not just during scheduled sessions.

Many Bloomington families begin this journey in one of two ways: a referral from Riley Developmental Medicine (which has a clinic right here on Arlington Road), or concerns flagged through Monroe County Community School Corporation (MCCSC). Both are valuable starting points, but it’s important to understand the difference.
MCCSC can evaluate your child and provide school-based support, but a school’s educational evaluation is not a medical diagnosis and won’t, on its own, unlock insurance or Medicaid coverage for ABA therapy. Similarly, a Riley referral can involve long wait times. Our diagnostic evaluations are conducted by a licensed clinical psychologist and provide the formal medical diagnosis families need to access insurance-covered ABA, often faster than the hospital system’s waitlist. We’re happy to work alongside whatever path you’ve already started.
We bring in-home ABA therapy to families throughout Bloomington: from the neighborhoods near campus like Prospect Hill, Garden Hill, and Bryan Park, to the east side near College Mall, the south side along Winslow and Rogers, and the growing west side near Arlington Road. We also serve families in Ellettsville (where Richland-Bean Blossom schools serve many of our families), as well as Spencer, Martinsville, and the more rural areas of Monroe County where clinic-based therapy simply isn’t accessible. Indiana has one of the strongest autism insurance mandates in the country, which means ABA therapy is widely covered, and for most families, out-of-pocket cost is little to nothing. We accept most major plans, including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Optum, Cigna, and MHS, as well as Indiana Medicaid.

Most Bloomington ABA providers operate out of clinics on the south or west side of town. We come to you. All of our therapy happens in your child’s natural environment (home, school, community) so skills generalize to real life instead of staying in a therapy room.
Absolutely. If you’re on a waitlist for an evaluation through Riley or IU Health, our diagnostic team may be able to see your child sooner. And if you already have a diagnosis from Riley, we can begin the ABA intake process right away.
Yes. We work with families across Monroe County, including Ellettsville, and the surrounding areas. In-home ABA is especially valuable for families in rural parts of the county where driving to a clinic multiple times a week isn’t practical.
Most major plans and Indiana Medicaid cover ABA therapy. We’ll help you verify your specific benefits during intake.
A school evaluation can qualify your child for classroom support, but insurance-covered ABA therapy requires a formal medical diagnosis from a qualified professional. We can help you understand where you are in that process and what’s still needed.
