Families in New Albany, IN deserve autism care that’s accessible, personalized, and designed around real life. At B Above Services, we provide evidence-based ABA therapy and autism diagnostic evaluations where children naturally learn and grow—whether that’s at home, in school, or throughout the New Albany community. By meeting families where they are, we create opportunities for meaningful progress while providing the guidance and support parents need every step of the way.
Real progress happens when children can practice new skills in the places where they use them every day. Instead of limiting therapy to a clinic setting, our Natural Environment ABA approach brings support directly into your child’s world—whether that’s at home, in the classroom, or throughout the New Albany community. This helps children apply what they’re learning in meaningful situations, making those skills more likely to carry over into daily life.
Just as importantly, families become active participants in the process. By working alongside parents and caregivers during real-life routines and interactions, our clinicians provide practical guidance that can be used long after a session ends. The result is a collaborative approach that strengthens confidence, creates consistency, and helps children continue making progress throughout the week—not only during scheduled therapy hours.
We support the whole family through every stage of the journey:
Comprehensive evaluations for children and teens, guiding families from assessment to clear next steps without unnecessary delays.
Personalized ABA therapy delivered where your child lives and learns; at home, school, and in the community.
Supportive group sessions that build confidence and connection for children, with guidance and community for parents.
A free partnership with schools & families, offering developmental screenings, training, and trusted support when concerns arise.
If you’re noticing signs, our clinicians take the time to understand your child’s full developmental profile through a warm, comprehensive evaluation — so you leave with real answers and clear next steps. This matters especially for New Albany families: New Albany-Floyd County Schools may evaluate a child and provide classroom support, but a school’s educational evaluation is not a medical diagnosis and won’t, on its own, unlock insurance or Medicaid coverage for ABA. A medical autism diagnosis has to come from a qualified medical professional — a physician, pediatrician, psychiatrist, or licensed psychologist (HSPP). We can help you understand exactly what’s needed.
We provide natural environment ABA therapy and autism services to families across New Albany and Floyd County, in the heart of Southern Indiana — from the historic downtown and Mansion Row neighborhoods to Silver Hills, the Grant Line Road corridor, and out toward Floyds Knobs. We also serve the surrounding Southern Indiana communities, including Clarksville, Jeffersonville, Georgetown, and Sellersburg. If you’re in or around New Albany, reach out — we’ll let you know how we can support your family.
Indiana has one of the strongest autism insurance mandates in the country, which means ABA therapy is widely covered — and for most families, out-of-pocket cost is little to nothing. We accept most major plans, including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Optum, Cigna, and MHS, as well as Indiana Medicaid.

“Shaindy worked with my son in the past, and given her guidance and expertise, his progress soared. Weekly parent trainings were really on target and helped me implement what was being worked on on a daily basis. It’s an honor to be one of Shaindy’s clients.”
We provide ABA therapy in your child’s natural environment — at home, at school, and in the community — wherever they learn and grow best, throughout New Albany and the surrounding Southern Indiana area.
For most families, yes. Indiana’s autism mandate and Medicaid (for children under 21, via EPSDT) cover medically necessary ABA. We’ll verify your specific benefits and handle prior authorization during intake.
School evaluations and medical evaluations serve different purposes. A school evaluation may qualify your child for services and supports provided through the school system, while insurance-covered ABA therapy generally requires a formal autism diagnosis from a qualified medical professional. We can help you understand what evaluations you’ve already completed and whether any additional documentation may be needed.
Evaluations are completed by a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in autism and developmental assessments. All evaluations follow current clinical and ethical standards.
We serve families across New Albany and Floyd County, plus the surrounding Southern Indiana communities including Clarksville, Jeffersonville, Floyds Knobs, Georgetown, and Sellersburg.
